DECLARATION OF INTENT

Chiba is a multiform entity, a chimeric creature that moves in an irregular and scattered system. It stems as a natural emanation of bored minds and it is shaped by the refusal of a constrained stream of expression. Chiba feeds on contrasts, hybrids, and ambiguities; its anatomy is constantly changing.

Chiba is an independent collective that aims to investigate our times and social issues through experimental artistic production, critical research and anthropological reflection about the role of technology and the new ecological phenomena, shaping hypothetical scenarios of our present. To do so, since 2015 Chiba produces a variety of self-publishing zines, which include short stories, manifestos, photography and illustrations in both traditional and digital form, and poetry. Chiba exhibits across Italy and abroad.
